Safe spending pace

A safe daily budget through the end of the month

For anyone who wants a clear day-to-day spending reference

Every new expense reduces the remaining plan, while every passing day reduces the number of days over which that remainder is distributed.

The daily limit changes during the month

Every new expense reduces the remaining plan, while every passing day reduces the number of days over which that remainder is distributed.

Protect fixed future expenses

Exclude upcoming mandatory payments before calculating the flexible daily amount.

Worked example

A budget on the twelfth day

The monthly plan is 96,500 ₽, actual spending is 31,000 ₽, and 19 days remain.

Monthly plan96,500 ₽
Spent so far31,000 ₽
Remaining plan65,500 ₽
Days remaining19

The current reference is about 3,447 ₽ per remaining day before additional fixed commitments.

Practical method

Recalculate from the remaining plan

Use the amount still available in the plan and divide it by the number of days remaining.

Formula

Daily budget = (monthly plan − actual expenses − reserved commitments) ÷ remaining days

The result is a planning reference, not a requirement to spend the full amount.

Keep uncertain payments in a plan until the money is actually received.

Using one balance for every decision

Reserve essential commitments before calculating the amount available for flexible spending.

Reviewing finances only at month end

A short weekly review reveals changes while there is still time to adjust.
